CyOptics $19.5m F Round

New York, October 5, 2005 - CyOptics, Inc., a leading supplier of high-speed optical chips and components for broadband communications solutions, announced that it closed a $19.5 million Series F funding round with equity investments from Birchmere Ventures, JVP, Sprout Group, TowerBrook Capital Partners, and Eurofund. The round also included a $7.5 million in debt financing from Comerica Bank - bringing the total to $27 million. This round has financed the acquisition and integration of TriQuint Semiconductor's Optoelectronics Division.

Redwood Capital acted as exclusive placement agent to CyOptics, Inc. in connection with the equity investments.
