Dialog Telecommunications Acquires AMA TechTelTexas Panhandle voice and data services customers will benefit from new investment

Charlotte, NC, January 8, 2008 - Dialog Telecommunications’ acquisition of AMA TechTel, a leading provider of voice and data services in the Texas Panhandle has been completed, the companies announced today. Under terms of the agreement, customers will see no interruption of service or change in their current service agreement.

“We are delighted that AMA TechTel is joining us and equally pleased that this agreement provides the framework for new investments that will benefit customers throughout the service area,” said Jim Bellina, president of Dialog Telecom LLC. “We couldn’t ask for a better partner to help us build for the future of rural telecom services in Texas and throughout our service area.”

Dialog already provides voice and data services for customers in Kentucky, Mississippi and North Carolina. In addition to the increased investment for new equipment and technology for the AMA TechTel service area, Dialog is upgrading its equipment, services and staffing in Western Kentucky following a significant investment in Dialog by Plainfield Asset Management.

“This transaction is great for our company and our communities here in the panhandle,” said Lehmer Dunn, president of AMA TechTel. “In addition to other benefits, this enables an immediate infusion of several million dollars in technology that will enable new services for both business and residential customers.

“Dialog and AMA TechTel share a common vision for service in smaller markets that are often underserved by larger companies, a vision that includes significant community involvement, local management, new technology deployment, and the highest quality service.”
Pat Eudy, chairman of Dialog Telecommunications, said that AMA TechTel is a natural fit for his company. “We have found a strong partner in our commitment to spur community development and growth in rural areas through deployment of advanced communications network infrastructure and we’re delighted that the management and employee team at AMA will continue to assure their customers the same high quality service to which they’ve become accustomed.”
