Cisco Systems, Inc Acquires Audium Corp

New York, NY, June 30, 2006 - Cisco Systems, Inc., (NASDAQ: CSCO) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of privately-held Audium Corp of New York. Audium offers an easy-to-use, drag-and -drop application creation/integration environment which will strengthen Cisco's Service Oriented Network Architecture (SONA). With this acquisition, Cisco will help enable its ecosystem of development paretners to easily create and deploy value-added business applications.

Audium is a leading provider of VoiceXML speech self-service application development and management environments. The acquisition will enable enterprises to easily build automated voice response applications that are integrated with not only their converged IP network, but also work well within their Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), enabling the use of common services across the network. Leveraging the intelligence of the network, Audium's technology further strengthens Cisco's SONA and provides a platform for enterprises to integrate their business process workflow with their speech self-service applications. Audium was founded in 1999 and has 26 employees based in New York, New York.

Cisco paid approximately $19.8 million in cash for Audium. Audium's products will be integrated into the Cisco Voice Technology Group, reporting into Don Proctor.

Redwood Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Audium Corp in connection with this transaction.
