Sanford Rosenberg Senior Advisor

Sanford Rosenberg is a Senior Advisor at Redwood Capital, focused exclusively on corporate structuring and raising capital.  Prior to his work at Redwood, Sanford spent a decade at Citigroup and its predecessor firms focused on private equity transactions predominantly within the media, communications and technology sectors. His most recent role was as the senior banker within Citigroup’s direct private equity placements group in New York, where he was responsible for the start-to-finish origination, structuring and capital raising for private and public companies. Sanford’s activities at Citigroup also include positions in the financial entrepreneurs (private equity sponsor coverage) and acquisition finance groups.

Prior to Citigroup, Sanford spent six years as a strategic consultant at the PAI Group, an international strategic advisory firm that he co-founded with offices in the United States, Asia and Central Europe. 

Sanford received his M.B.A with honors in finance from Columbia Business School and his dual B.A. in Economics and Asian Studies from Tufts University.  He has worked and traveled extensively internationally and has a working knowledge of the Japanese, Russian and Czech languages.

Redwood Advises Cogmed Systems AB in its Sale to Pearson plc
Karolinska Development has divested Cogmed, one of Karolinska Development’s portfolio companies, to Pearson where it will become part of Pearson’s Clinical Assessment business. Karolinksa Development and other owners will receive an up front payment, as well as tiered royalties up to double digit levels until June 2012 on Cogmed sales.
Redwood Advises Birch in Debt Offering
